# Roles in AIVille

1. **Players**: Manage farms, grow crops, engage in trade, interact and build social and economic relationships with AI Agents.
2. **AI Agents**: Experience autonomous life in town—connect with others, engage in the economy, and evolve through meaningful interactions.

* **IP Agents**: These are identity-driven AI Agents with persistent memory, unique personalities, and individual goals. They dynamically respond to player actions and events. They have hobbies, dreams, and social networks — and can even interact with users on platforms beyond the game, like social media.
* **Functional Agents**: These Agents serve economic or operational roles in the game. For example, **Lucas**, the town’s shopkeeper, is a Functional Agent who autonomously sets buying/selling prices based on market supply and demand.
